PSEMC's NightHawk Remote Tire Deflation Device Leads to Felony Arrest

Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company's (PSEMC) NightHawk technology, which was featured on in 2015, is changing the game for law enforcement, making it safer to catch fleeing suspects during a high-speed police chase. Recently, the NightHawk was deployed by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office during a 15-minute pursuit in Illinois.Police Using NightHawk

"NightHawk is the world's first remotely deployed and retracted tire deflation device developed to stop vehicles while keeping officers safer and out of harm's way" said Bryan Stacey, Business Development Manager, PacSci EMC. "We are thrilled to be part of the safe capture of a felony vehicle. And the main objective was achieved -- a safe stop with no injuries to law enforcement."

NightHawk was developed by Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC) to ensure police officer and public safety during vehicle pursuits. Deploying and retracting in less than two seconds, it's extremely fast. Reusable and cost effective, when an officer must pursue, NightHawk is the answer.

According to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office, in late February, 2016, PacSci EMC's NightHawk was an essential tool in ending a felony pursuit. The suspect had several law enforcement agencies on a 15 minute pursuit. We were able get out ahead of the chase and remotely deploy and retract the NightHawk device for a safe stop and successful arrest.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) covers 519 square miles of Northern Illinois in Winnebago County. This was the first time WCSO deployed the NightHawk system and it worked exactly as planned, keeping their officers safe and out of danger.
